Mini Marathon Fundraiser
Thank you for joining my team as I run for the Lord in the Indianapolis Mini-Marathon. On
Saturday, May 8, 2010, I will be running 13.1 miles, just over 3 years after my cancer
treatments and surgery.
I am so grateful for the extension of life God has given me and I desire to live each moment for Him. Since my recovery from cancer, I have endeavored to win souls for Jesus Christ like never before. One great privilege of mine has been to reach out to a man named Mike Burdette. Mike was fighting cancer and, just over 2 years ago, his wife asked me to minister to him. I did exactly that and little by little, I showed him the love of Christ. Then, on January 6th, he passed away, but not before he placed his faith in Jesus as his Savior.
I am dedicating my run this year to his memory. He became a dear friend and I look forward to the
time I see him again. Until then, I am continuing to invest my life to winning souls, making disciples,
training Christian leaders, and planting new churches.
Please take a moment to read the letter I wrote concerning my commitment to run this marathon by clicking here.
Mike’s wife, Alecia, has also written a letter. Please click here to read what she wrote about how her family has been impacted by our ministry.
I pray that you will be part of my support team by praying for me and by donating a tax deductible amount to "New Beginnings Christian Fellowship."
